I work in a nursing home. The other day, my boss came by my medicine cart and put a sponsorship form for some charity walk she is doing down. She was on vacation when I did my charity walk and didn't sponsor me, not that that really matters because it's a good cause. I don't really have any extra money right now, or ever. I feel like I have to give her something. Also she did a fundraiser for some club of Philipinnas that she belongs to that cost me $5 for a raffle ticket. Do I have to give her more money for this one just because she is my boss?

I would just explain to her that things a little tight for you and to hit you up on the next one, but this time you just arent able to donate any money. It is hard to be put in a situation like that, awkward if anything.
Just be honest, she cant fire you for being broke if anything she should give you a raise! :)
Good luck

I can understand where you're coming from! I don't think you have to necessarily feel obliged to sponsor her, even though it is a charitable event.
Maybe you could pleasantly tell her 'sorry, and that as much as you would like to sponsor her, it just isn't possible right now, and that's why you do the other walk yourself, your donation of time and getting sponsors is your way of contributing.
Just present yourself with a smile and a sincere apology that you'd like to help "but: " Hopefully she's not the type of person to hold it against you, but at least you explained nicely.

No-- you never have to donate if you cannot- It is a request for donation- When we ask for donations at work- we cannot go and ask people - we have to place it in the Lunch room and you get what you get- No hard feelings- If you do not have the extra money- than don't feel bad-
