Soy Ice Cream

Have you ever tried soy ice cream? I can have dairy any more because of a health condition, so I'm trying lots of different ice creams made from soy milk. My favorite one is made by Turtle Mountain and is called peanut butter zig zag. I also like the ones made by Whole Soy. I just wish there were more of a flavor selection.

Well, it's not exactly like regular ice cream. It's richer and kind of chewy, more like gelato than ice cream. I do really like it.

I'm also lactose intolerant, but I am also allergic to soy/soya. So I have never tried this ice cream. I have rice drink as an alternative to milk in my cereal, and I have seen ice creams made out of this as well. But I never tried it.

I've had it quite a few times. I almost bought a pint yesterday. I can't remember the exact brand I usually eat, it might be rice milk instead of soy. But, I know I've had soy ice cream. The one that I see most for sale I think it called Soya Delicious.

I tried some chocolate soy ice cream once before, but I can't remember what the brand was. It was really good though. I've never really been that big on soy stuff, but I thought the ice cream tasted pretty good and it was really smooth, so I liked it.

There is soy ice cream? Wow, I didn't know that! I don't think we have that here in our country. I would love to taste them though, I love soy milk! But it's a bit expensive for me to have it everyday...
