When I began scrapbooking I recieved the sizzix's die cutting system as a gift. Now they have the cricuts. I have used the system once and was wondering if anyone else had bought the system. If you invest that much money is it worth what you have to pay? My sizzix sits unused most of the time. Could I have some input before I make the decision? Help please!

I have bought the Cricut! I love it! I use it for Scrapbooking and making cards. It's a Great system but you need to know that most of the letters can only be done in 1 inch to 5 inches. You are limited for letter or numbers under 1 inch. It was a Awesome investment for me because I sell scrapbooking pages on E-Bay and I sell cards on Esty at www.TammysTreasures.Etsy.com. If someone wants anything personalized I can do it. It's a great marketing tool for me. If you decide to bought it, I would only buy the Cricut. It cames with one cartridge,George and Basic Shapes. This cartridge has on it all you need to start out, basic shapes and uppercase font.

Yes I do! The secret is to have two mats going at one time. What I mean by this, is on a new mat I always use heavy or thick paper first and for many times after that. If I have to use my Cricut on printed or thinner paper, I use an old mat. I hope that helps.

I have not personally bought it yet, but they are all the rage. My friends are all in love with them. They are buying not just the cricuts, but also the cartriges which run up to $100.00 each. I am not really sold on it. I am happy with my current scrapbooking techniques.

I have never bought one before, but I know what it is. I don't think I would use it very often, and they are quite expensive so I don't see myself purchasing one. To me it just wouldn't be worth the money. But there are people who use theirs all the time, so I guess it really just depends on the person. I have never heard of the cricuts. What are those about? Basically, it's your decision if you think you will use it often. Good luck and happy scrapbooking!
