I just got my first offer on an article today from AC. They offered me $3.54 for my article about a nearby lake. I was wondering if others always accept the first offer, rewrite and resubmit or .... I was not sure what to do so I just accepted it. Is this a normal amount of money for this type of article? Are you more likley to get an article sold if it is exclusive? Thank you in advance for all the help!

Congratulations because they don't always make offers on articles that are written for them at all. Take the offer. Many times the offer is based on the topic and not the content so re-writing it would not guarantee that you would get a higher offer for it. Also, I've included another website similar to Associated Content. I don't belong to this one, but other people do and are happy with it. If you ever start a blog, then apply to paytopost.com as they pay rather well for their blog submissions.

How strict is constant-content? I heard it was hard to get published there.

Thank you very much for the link I will check into that as soon as I can. I am trying out a few new things at the moment though.

I'm not sure what the going rate is but hey, any way of getting out there and having your work seen can only help! Congrats!

I have always taken the first offer with associated content. I feel that I'm lucky to even get an offer from them since so many others are complaining about their articles being rejected.

I tried to submit articles to constant content, but they were rejected. They told me that they were in the wrong format.

I like accepting the first offer I receive primarily because I'd rather spend the time coming up with new content to submit than working on content I've already considered complete. I probably would change my mind if I didn't already spend a considerable amount of time putting the pieces together.
