Have you ever been charged with an offense you didn't commit? or that was taken out of context? How did you handle it?

This incident was narrated by a well known gentleman at a public meeting in India. A person was out for a jog on a beach and was witness to a murder. Years passed and this person became a judge in one of the high courts. The same case for which he was witness was posted for hearing in his court. To his surprise he found that the accused was not the person who had committed the crime. But all evidence were against him! There was no reason why the accused should not be hanged! The surprised judge who was a witness to the crime called the accused to his chamber and told him that he knew that he had not committed the crime. The accused started crying and said that it was true that he had not committed the crime. However he was not able to prove the same as all evidence were against him. The surprised judge now asked him if the accused had ever killed a person and got away without being punished. The accused was silent for some time and then said that more than 15 year ago, he had committed a murder in his village and had left the village never to return. He was never punished for the crime. The judge now realized that nature has its own way to reward us for all our actions. In India we refer to it as our Karma.

Looks like he did. Now look at the judge's karma. He is also in a situation wherein he knows that the accused has not committed the crime but still has to hang him!
