Scared Kid/s

Last night, my four-year old son cried for a long time because when he took a plastic bottle, a small spider came out of it. When I heard him cry, I got really scared because I have never heard him cried like that. I remembered an incident like it that happened last week when I was preparing our breakfast. I heard him cry really loud and when I went to our bedroom, he is on top of the bed and a spider is in the floor.
Do you think that's normal or is it something to worry about?
Have your kid/s ever been scared to something?

My 5 year old daughter is scared of cockroaches but is not too scared to the point of crying or screaming. I alwasy tell her that there's no need to be scared because it's just an insect and she could swat it with a broom if she wants to. My younger nephew on the other hand, is scared of butterflies that he hates even pictures of butterflies and toy butterflies. We really don't know why and when it started. We're doing ways for him to be okay about it. I hope that in time he overcomes this odd fear.
I guess it's just normal for kids to have certain fears especially if an adult demonstrated the fear, and the child witnessed it, like with snakes for example. Kids don't know that snakes are dangerous and would play with one if given the opportunity. But when we say it's dangerous and it can kill people, they will develop a fear and will never touch one.

Hi there! Thank you very much for your response. Wow! I can think of lots of things that kids can get scared of but butterflies. I wonder where that came from too.

I'm not sure if its normal for kids, but i sure dont like them, and i have a 26 year old friend that screams and cries when she sees a spider. Some people are just scared of them i think! i dont like them, but i can pick them up in tissues and flush them down the toilet! I am scared of moths. I have a 9 month old daughter, and it seems right now she's fearless! lol.

Lucky you! It feels really bad when your child is so scared of something and he won't listen when you explain that it's harmless. I myself is scared of lizards and I can't really explain why. Thank you very much for your response. I don't like spiders too but I am not scared of them.

hi my friend since i check all of my friends discusstion now i have 2 days vacation so i try to resposible to all of my friends in mylot.he he he, its norman for a kids or for us to have something scared of. i dont know what the reason why we develop this idea,do you believe at my age now, i still cant bearly looking at worm, i think if it will come to me i will die.. its ok try to explain to your son that its too small and connot harm him when he wil keep distance to it. and its not good also to touch it. some of them have a stinc.
