I Must Stop Smoking Or Else !!!!

I need to stop smoking or i will eventually be using oxygen tanks soon! I already have copd, i have lost my father to lung cancer, but i still smoke. Crazy,stupid,dumb yah i know! I have been smoking before all of you were born, weelll not really. I just got careless with the truth there. I am looking for some stop smoking buddies here on mylot because i have no on-line friends, just family to chat with. I haven't tried to stop before, so this is a first. I am honest,sincere and true to my word. I believe in the honor system also. I am not using any stop smoking products yet and i haven't picked a stop smoking day, but i am willing to stop or quit smoking. Thank you all!

I will pray for you to have will power, as it is very difficult to stop. It is very addicting as you know. Good luck my friend. Gum and the patch have helped others with the will power to stop. Please stop before it is too late.

I've quit lots of times! The longest I've kept away from them was for 3 months. I've tried many methods, but just can't stick it. I've been told that the best thing to do is either the patch or a perscription from your doctor, and I know that the lozenges work, too. Unfortunately, I'm not quite ready to quit, but I'm sure there are others here who will buddy-up with you for this! Good Luck!!!! Oh, yeah -- take a good calcium/magnesium (3 to 1 ratio) suppliment, it'll help keep the crankies at bay!
