i hate politics!

i never did like politics. i don't understand it and i have no desire to learn about it at all. i don't even know who our local candidates are and i don't care, sorry. no one can blame me, though, coz, like, now, it's election period here in the philippines and aside from the usual rallies held everywhere where candidates deliver their never-ending and never-fulfilled promises to the naive people, it is also commonplace to see candidates killing each other to eliminate competition. what's worse is, we get to remember the brutality more than the promises. what makes a public office position so coveted, anyway? the bribes? the "commissions"? the "take-homes"? when has humanity degenerated to this level?
