Did you go to prom?

The past two weekends have been Prom for the area high schools where I live. Seeing all those girls in gowns and too much makeup made me remember my senior prom. It has been 9 yrs since my senior year of high school. It hardly seems possible. Anywho, I was wondering if any of you went to your senior proms? If you didn't go, do you regret it?

I dont go to prom.My former school have their prom night for us the graduate students.The theme is retro.I dont like the prom things where we are to like dancing and have to appear all glamour.Like having to wear make up and wear glamourous wear.With that,money is needed!I dont regret of not going to my school prom night as what i heard from my friends,they dont really have a good time there and kind of waste a lot of money!

I went and I don't regret it but I regret how I acted. Earlier in the week before prom I cheated on my date.. now i was very drunk and there was little passion but it was enough to make the evening awkward. My date and I weren't seeing each other but i think we were going to in the summer after prom. But i ruined my chances.. so prom will always be a lesson for me.

Lessons are good. I don't think all of the memorable nights or moments of our lives should just be happy ones. I think that it helps to remember what we've been through and where we would never like to go again - learn from our mistakes. And it sounds like you have. Thanks for sharing.

yes i went to my senior prom. in fact my mother and i made my prom dress!! i believe she still has it somewhere in the back of her closet lol!
i also remember having a sinus infection at the time so i wasnt much for dancing and all.
but even sick, i was determined to go, my mother especially had put in a lot of time and effort to make my beautiful dress!

oh, how i miss my prom night! i just graduated from high school and i am already missing my proms. the way that we girls talk about what our dresses will look like, what shoes should we wear, to whom are we gonna entrust our make-ups, how are gonna go to the location and most of all WHO WILL BE OUR DATE!!!
my most memorable night was my senior night. we danced like crazy and had fun and made fun of some school mates. the nomination of some friends (including me) as the prom queen/king really added some spice to our night. that night wasn't presented to me as 'romantic night' but i had fun because my friends were there to make me laugh all night long

I think that having a fun night is more memorable and safer than all those "romantic" nights. I love all of my memories even though if I saw my senior prom date now I would likely run the other way. But that night was fun for me and I will cherish it. Hold on to your memories. The years fly by. :)
