Beware of Keystroke Tracker

Keystroke Tracker - A Keystroke tracker is placed between the keyboard and the CPU. It keeps track of each and every key pressed on the keyboard, thereby creating a security hazard which leads to your login, password, credit card details being revealed.

I received a mail today warning me of a new device which can track your key strokes. Thought it would be of interest to you too. This device sits between the keyboard and the CPU. It records each and every keystroke entered using the keyboard thereby disclosing all your data to the person who has access to the tracker. Remember that your data is not safe if you are using a PC in a public place. Be very careful while using your login, password, credit card details, bank details etc from hotels, airports etc. You are advised to check how the keyboard is connected to the PC before using critical information on machines not belonging to you. Your valuable feedback on such devices is awaited.

Another malevolent invention! Everyday something new! Will it ever end? Now I have to be even more paranoid when I have to use the internet in an internet cafe. My solution is, open a random page like yahoo, select the characters you need from the screen with the mouse and copy them to clip board (CTRL+C) and paste where necessary (CTRL+V), and press enter where needed :) So the person who has access to the keytracker will only see those buttons. I know it's a limited solution, but it just popped in my mind.

I shall pray to the Devil sorry to the god that the key stroke will not make any heartstroke to you
