I look very young for my age and I get carded everytime. It is very annoying. Especially since I am 28 years old and well over the legal age. I guess it's flattering for some people. I know they are just doing their job and it is wonderful in the respect of them being careful not to sell to minors. So when you get carded is it annoying or flattering?

The cops really pull you over to see if you have a drivers license? That's hilarious, man you have it bad!lol. Next time I get carded at the register I won't feel so bad. :)

I think that you should consider yourself blessed and find something worth complaining about. I have a young looking face, but am 6ft tall. Being carded never bothered me. Of course, I no longer need to be, becasue I don't drink or smoke any longer. All I am saying is that there are a lot more things worse than this.
You should consider it a compliment and be happy that these people are willing to do their job and not just sell to any buyer, especially when one of them could be our children.

Don't get me wrong I am happy, however when the teenager behind doesn't get carded that's where the annoyance comes into play. thanks:)

I get carded too and i'm a year younger then you. I think we should be flattered because they think we are so young looking. That means when we are 40 we will look like we are 30 and so on! It is annoying to have to pull out your card but, i usually have it ready for them. lol. and i laugh at them when they read that i'm nearly 30. I think THEY get embarrassed :P Especially if it is a cute guy carding you. lol.

I'm 36 and get carded all the time. I don't think it's annoying. I guess for these people who ask to card you, they would rather be safe than sorry. They wouldn't want their jobs on the line for not carding anyone and find out later that they are underage. So, it's really no biggie for me.

I got really annoyed once, I think I was 24 and the guy asked for my ID, that was fine, then he looks at it and says that it's not me. I was like you've got to be kidding so I ended up having to give him another piece of Id, I was in the store for about 5 minutes while he checked my cards out. I felt like leaving and going to another store. He did finally say ok but still I was angry...lol

I still get carded all the time too and I'm 27. Sometimes I find it incredibly annoying when I'm out with my boyfriend and his friends and they are all at least 7 years older than me - and I get carded - the onl one that gets carded. Other times I am flattered... Other times I get a smug feeling of satisfaction when they look at my ID and feel a little silly for asking.

I also get that smug feeling of satisfaction. I got carded one night out with friends at a bar. I was the only one and they made us leave because I didn't have my ID with me. The very next night I went back for the sole purpose of flashing my ID in her face and for that smug feeling of satisfaction. What's crazy is the week before we went there and the same girl served me the whole night without ID..

I would accept it as a Compliment. When I was younger, much younger I used to go to all the bars and never got asked for ID.
Didn't happen till I was over the age required by the law By then I already 2 kids LOL Musta made me look younger chasing them there rugrats around all day long LOL
Now adays I wish they would LOL I am over 50 and it seems like forever ago.
Enjoy it while you can It won't last long. I promise

I'm 23 and usually get carded. When I don't get carded, however, I feel like I must look old. That makes me wish I got carded, lol! It's easy to get frustrated when you have to fish your ID out of your wallet, but try to think of it as a compliment.

Hello,dedicated_28, when i get carded,i may get annoying or flatering,it depends on the attitude of the staff, if they ask me nicely, like'can i have your ID please' probably,i will be flattered as it is just a usual procedure even they can guess my real age.I will feel like I am 18 years old; if they ask me like 'how old are you',i will not be happy as they may have assumed that I am 18 years old.

While I usually will find it flattering to be carded there are times that I find it annoying. I don't always remember to grab my id when I am in a hurry so I get annoyed when I have left it in the car. I also get annoyed when I have purchased the same product from the same cashier on numerous of occasions but she will still request my id. I could understand if I didn't come in atleast once a week.

It is flattering for me! In fact, I get annoyed when two or three people in front of me get carded and then I don't. I guess I look ever day of my age. Enjoy your youthful looks. Just keep your id somewhere easily accessible. LOL.

I'm 32, but look much younger, so I get carded all of the time. I think it's fairly flattering, because I enjoy looking much younger than I really am.
What is annoying to me is when some stores or bars will card some people and not others. It's understandable if a person looks very clearly above the legal age, but when its less clear, stores and bars need to be more consistent with checking IDs.

There is no point in carding and regretting the past for what has happened cant be undone but you can learn from your prevous mistakes. You are lucky that your finance eloped before you married her or that would have been far more disastrous.

I certainly dont get annoyed by any means considering I'm almost 40 yrs old LOL..in fact I find it amusing more than anything and generally make a joke over it...but I dont see it as flattering though, simply becuase its the law...if it WASNT the law THEN I'd be flattered LOL

Whether or not I get carded is generally determined by whether i've shaved that month. lol. I shaved the other day after not bothering to care for about two weeks, and immediately I was downgraded from 25 (i'm 27 by the way) to you're...um 20 right?
The only reason they even say twenty is that they have been talking to me and assume I can't be a minor. If they don't talk to me first..'can I see some idea son?' What the hell man, i'm older than YOU. lil punk.
I got carded at walmart, and since I rarely bring id.. I had to have my mommy buy a videogame for me.. when I was 25 ..
