It is said that INDIA's coach Greg Chappel is responsible for the Team India's failure in the WORLD CUP-2007.But is it only the coach who play a major role in the sucess of any team? Are Senior players of the INDIAN CRICKET TEAM are also responsible for the failure?Else should the Selection commitee take the responsility???????

Its Greg Chappell who is responsible as these players have proved their potential many a times. Greg was always experimenting too much. He allowed no batsment to settle in a single slot and as a result Indian batting crushed in the world cup.

I feel that the entire players who were in the team were responsible for the poor performance of the team in this world cup. They are the worsest set of cricketers indian team have ever faced, and all of them were super stars only in paper and when it comes to that on the field they are all nothing but a bunch of pretty ordinary players even below the bangladesh players.

The coach can only work with the team chosen by the Indian Cricket Board .. if they choose the wrong players .. there is nothing that the coach can do except train who he is given. The Indian Cricket Team used to be a great on an international level .. they the selectors started not changing the players around .. no badly how they performed. This meant that many of the players didn't care about how well or how badly they played .. they let their country and supporters down. If the selectors chose players on merit .. the Indian Cricket Team would do so much better. If a player does not perform .. drop him from the side and choose someone else who will play at their best .. if the dropped player improves then he can be given a second chance .. if he doesn't improve how he plays then he is out of the team forever. The reason the Indian Cricket Team does not do very well on the international cricket scene at the present time .. is the fault of the selectors .. and nobody else. There is no incentive for the players to try and improve .. even if they know they are not playing at their very best. Once the Indian Cricket Team used to be a force to be reckoned with .. it would be good to see them back up there again .. but only if the selectors are serious and choose players based on how well they play .. rather than for their name or how long they have been in the team .. or their connections or however else they choose the team.
