There are various kinds of foods in China, and they vary as areas change. As in Xi'an, Shannxi, where I am living now, food tastes spicy and very delicious. People here enjoy noodles very much, which is also a main food here. Share us with what food you like and what you want to taste~.

We enjoy Chinese food MyCelestial. I wish you would post some of your favorite recipes for us to try. I know I would love to have recipes of your favorite dishes. We live in the US and have access to many good restaurants. I'll bet it's not like having it made fresh like you do it. I would like to taste a lot of it. I love eating and love Chinese foods.

Thank you very much for your advice! Now I recmmend some to you:) Braised Egg plant( Yuxiang Qiezi) ( This dish is often home-made, and my mom does very well. The egg plant is cut into cubes and fried for preparation.) Bean Sauce Tofu( Mapo Tofu) ( It tastes hot and numb, but you'll enjoy it, it is really terrific!) Kung Pao Chicken( Gongbao jiding) ( I like this and I know that so many people like it too. The way of cooking it always attracts everyone!) Cooked Pancake in Beef or Mutton Soup(Yangrou Paomo) ( If you come to Xi'an, then you can't miss it! It is almost a symbol of the food here. At the beginning, you may not get used to it, but if you have it two or three times, I am sure you will enjoy it!) Those above all are very great, if you eat in a Chinese restaurant, they are good choces!

Yeah, some of chinese food are delicious but some are too oily which i hate. I like one noodle here which is cooked in peanut butter, i don't know how to call it. I hope you can give me the idea and the other ingridients of it.

Well, I don't think I have eaten it. Maybe it is a new kind of noodle. If I have the chance to eat it, I think I will enjoy it.

I’m a Chinese from Malaysia, of course I like Chinese food very much. Here are lots of restaurants that served delicious various Chinese dishes. I do like spicy food especially those sour and spicy ones which I had taken when I visited chengdu. Do you mean the noodles in your place is lanzhou lamian? I had taken it before and it's quite tasty.

Not exactly. lanzhao lamian is a special course in Gansu, not in Shaanxi, Though you also eat it here and it is also tasty.

Thanks for your answer! I like dumplings, too. And they are also a kind of we-must-eat things on the day before our Spring Festival. I haven't eaten some of the food you've listed, but I will try them:)

I love western style Chinese food. It is probably a bit different from the true delicacies in China. I love steamed dumplings and lemon chicken. On Saturdays we like to go to the Chinese smorgasboard at our favorite restaurant and fill up on Chinese. I think I like Chinese food best of all the international cuisines available to us.

Yes, you are quite right about the spicy taste. I like Dim Sum as well, but sometimes they are a little too sweet,as I think....I also like snacks, which are of different shapes(amazingly beautiful! ) and different tastes. They may taste salty, sweet and spicy, and the flavors make them attractive hehe.
