The answer is 42, what's the question?

Don't Panic - From one of my favorite books, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. My all time favorite book.

We know the answer to life the universe and everything is 42. What are your theories on the question? Some of you will know what I am talking about. It is from one of my favorite books I read over and over again. I have read it at least 20 times by now lol. I just want to know what people think the question might be.

I think I saw that somewhere... It's in the movie The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy... Anyway, hmm. Maybe after 42 guesses, we'll finally figure this thing out. ;) I know, it's lame. Haha. Can't think of anything...

I usually find that the books are always better than the movies. And in the case of Hitchhikers Guide, I'd have to say this is definatly the case. If you liked the movie you definatly should read the books.

If you enjoy reading I would highly suggest picking up the book. It is WAY better than the movie, there were a lot of things they chenged from the book. Biggest disappointment for me was Zaphods 2 heads. In the book they are seperate not one under the other, and they talk to each other and argue a lot lol.

Yes, I'd definitely buy the book. I've been wanting to but funds have been low. I'm sure it's gonna be good 'coz the movie was hilarious! Thanks for the suggestions! :)

I'm not sure what the question, but now that I know the answer...who cares? All seriousness aside, that was a stellar book! It's a shame they porked the movie so bad.

Yes that they did. I know it's a silly posting, and I don't normally post sillyness. I was actually just wanting to know how many people actually read the book. Plus I needed a bit of lightheartedness.

I wish I could travel. But if wishes were fishes we'd all have a lake lol. I'm not surprised I didn't get more responses to it actually. I don't think a lot of people have read the book. I was sitting here watching the movie when it hit me lol.

It's a cool topic actually, I'm surprised that you haven't received more replies. The first time I read the book, I was travelling through London and the UK...ah the memories.

LOL no matter how bad I feel, reading that book will always make me laugh! It is a great series of books. I have the complete edition of the book, so I have all the stories. I wish I could have heard the orginal radio series.

I have a friend who just turned 42 and I think now he thinks HE is the answer to life, the universe and everything! :-) Maybe that how old you are when you figure it all out. If he does in fact do that, he better share!

If he does I hope you will let us know! I don't think though it is when everything falls into place. My mother is still as confused now at 50 as she was when she hit 42 lol. It is an interesting theory, thank you for sharing!

LOL that's a pretty good guess I would say. But I don't think it has much to do with the universe. Unless that is Talc happens to be at the center of the universe!

I like your answer! It's a great series. I have been trying to get my 14 year old daughter to read it. She has seen the movie, and I have tried to tell her that the book is better. Maybe one of these days she will pick it up. My son who is 9 loves it he doesn't get all the jokes. But he still enjoies it.
