Why do energy drinks make you pee?

I am on a conference call right now, and I just finished a can of Rockstar drink, and I have to pee so bad! Also why does it turn your pee neon? Just wondered if anyone has noticed this, and if anyone knows why it happens.

Well, I can answer half of your question. One pees a lot after an energy drink due to the caffeine content of the energy drinks. Caffeine is a diuretic, which means that it pulls fluid out of the body. As to why your pee is neon, I don't know! I do find that fascinating!

That is weird because I drink a lot of coffee, which has almost the same amount of caffine as rockstar, and it has no affect on me.

because energy drinks give your body the minerals you need to stay energized. sometimes, there are excess minerals that your body would no longer need, and your body would just excrete it as urine. c",)
