chat addict!?

I used to chat all the time but now, it doesnt interest me a lot unlike before. Is there such thing as a chat addict or addicted to chatting?...what is the duration in a day would you say a person is a chat addict? Why are some people so into chatting?...is it for fun?...for making friends?...for making money?...for scam?

i,m not so much addicted to chat..
but i have few net friends and they are very good friends of mine...and they are very far from me..so i chat with them on net..
coz phone calls proves very costly in this matter

I used to chat alot. I actuallty met my husband in a chat room. We have been together for over 3 years now. I have made some good friends also. I used to chat every morning and evening. Now I rarely chat at all. I use Im's to keep in touch with friends.

Reasons can be a lot for chatting, whether it is an addiction or not I'd say would be determined by whether one could give it up at once without feeling bad in any way over it.
