I see that no one has responded to this one. I'm from Iceland and I can't say we celebrate Halloween here. There are some people trying to make it popular here but it's not working. My favourite Halloween parties are in Athens Ohio so I'll just go there when I want to have a good Halloween party.

We have other holidays that others don't celebrate. Ash Wednesday in Iceland and many other Eurpean countries isn't very different from Halloween for kids. They get dressed up in funny costumes and visit shops and companies (some go residential areas also) and sing for treats.

I am in Australia and we do not celebrate Halloween here. It is slowly creeping into our society and it annoys me. Kids have no clue why they are out dressed up like crazy people knocking on doors like Jehovahs Witnesses begging for sweets.

Polly we don't have holloween in the Philippines:) I am a filipina raised and born there so I know:)+ I find it different here in Canada that every October 30, there are kids knocking on our door for candies, I don't have anything against with it, I think it is soooo much fun to me, just find it really different that's all. We instead have on Nov. 1 all souls day wherein we visit our love ones in the cemetary also we have all saints day on Nov. 2 to pray. However on Christmas day, Dec. 25 that's the time that kids are all over the street for candies:) same concept with your holloween:)+
