Magic Eye

Book of Magic Eye (games?) - Are you able to see the hidden images in these games? I never have been able to.

Books, Calendars, and the like can be found at bookstores and libraries everywhere...

you know those illusion pictures that look like some sort of camouflage collage? you are supposed to put your nose to the picture then slowly move it away and a surprise hidden 3 D image will appear.... They put these magic eye pictures into calendars and big colorful coffee table books... but I have NEVER been able to see the 3D image. I wonder if any one can? or is it just a joke on me to watch me putting a piece of paper to my nose and holding it out again....I must look like I have serious eye problems! hah! maybe I do!

It comes easily to some but hard for others. I got the hang of it once - when you get the hang of it, you can keep doing it easily. But that was years back. In fact I just tried it recently. I "forgot" how to see it "correctly" now.

Oh! so you have to train yourself to it then... hmmm, maybe I should give it another go. It tends to frustrate me when others can see it but I try and try to no avail. I will have to get a book from the library as I would not wish to spend money on it to only fail!

You might even find it in the library. No need to waste money.

I never seem to see those illusion things, always hearing other people say...WOW, COOL, LOOK AT THAT! I just see the same thing that I started seeing before the "count". Guess we just don't "see it the way others do". LOL!

I love Magic Eyes, i've never had any problem doing them! You just have to sort of de-focus your eyes, if that makes sense. I'm short sighted so maybe that makes a difference? I don't even need to do the whole put it close & pull is away slowly thing, i just look at the picture, de-focus my eyes and hey presto!

I have never been good at those paintings and thinds. I remember when the craze started when I was younger and they had art shops in the malls and those paitings were everywhere. I remember everyone going, wow, cool, did you see that? Half the time I would lie and ay "yea cool" LOL Now I left a link at the bottom, follow the directions, and it DOES work, even for me. Let me know if you see it. http://www.kamloopslife.com/games/mindseye.html

Wow! yes, I'd say that did work. I did not think so at first because I was expecting this large bright circle of light - then I realized there was that dim light, rather small. isn't that something?

I didn't see it at first until I looked to the right a little, then it came into focus ... pretty cool

I haven't really tried it lately but I used to be pretty good at it. Must have been from that year I was a library aide. There are books that you can get to give you hints on how to read it. I would think that you can find the information on the internet as well. Good luck in trying to solve the mystery...it is fun when you get the hang of it.
