What songs would you love to see on Guitar Hero? I know that the number of songs I'd really like to see would only take up space that more popular and kid-friendly stuff could fill, so I'd settle for a Metal Expansion Pack with the following:
Slayer - Raining Blood
Metallica - Master of Puppets
Yngwie Malmsteen - Far Beyond the Sun or Now Your Ships are Burned
Iron Maiden - Aces High or Fear of the Dark
Mercyful Fate - A Dangerous Meeting
Diamond Head - Am I Evil?
Blue Oyster Cult - Astronomy or Don't Fear the Reaper
Symphony X - Church of the Machine or Out of the Ashes
Children of Bodom - Bodom Beach Terror (or anything else this band has done, maybe Bodom After Midnight or Kissing the Shadows)
And of course some stuff from Vai, Satriani, Dream Theater or Petrucci's solo stuff, and all those other guitar masters out there.
Wow, that's a lot of stuff. Maybe I went a little overboard, lol. I'd also like to see some Wolf on there, but they're still not all that well-known (though they should be), so that'd probably never happen.

Here are some suggestions as to what I would do:
Savatage - Edge of Thorns, Dream Theater - Under A Glass Moon, King Diamond - Sleepless Nights, Judas Priest - Painkiller, Queensryche - Revolution Calling, WASP - The Idol and Trilogy Suite from Yngwie Malmsteen...

Nice picks, Zalvor. Actually, some of those are songs I haven't heard (Edge of Thorns and Sleepness Nights), but they're by artists I like, so I can imagine how good they are. I don't know if you've heard of Buckethead or not, but one of his songs is on Guitar Hero II (I think they're working on a 3rd installment in the franchise now that'll probably come out in the next year or so), and I saw a video of it on Youtube once. It was insane, the kind of stuff that like you said, would break your fingers, lol.

Nice, those are a lot of good songs. I'm curious though, why'd you censor God? We're allowed to write that aren't we?

I guess that's a good idea to keep yourself from using His name in vain.

"Ceremony" - Joy Division/New Order
"I am the resurrection" - Stone Roses
"High and dry" - Radiohead
A nod toward the non-metal bands who play guitars?

Yeah there needs to be non metal as well, and although I don't know if I've heard those particular songs, I like the bands. The Guitar Hero Rocks the '80s thing will probably have some stuff similar to New Order (they were New Wave, weren't they?)

I think Iron Maidens "Hallowed be thy name" would be a cool challenge on Guitar Hero! Also "Halo of Flies" with Alice Cooper, but I highly doubt that one would ever appear in the game.
