Yeah i don't think that it is that big of a deal and i wish that they would stop talking about it on espn. It's like the guy is not aloud to wear what ever he wants i guess that he is not a grown male and cant dress himself.

sarah get with the program......the media always accentuates the negative and elimanates the positive. It's the negative that people want to read about...the public is just jealous and love to tear down those they feel have more than they....they think it is a way for the "guilty", in this case Tom Brady, to get his comeuppance. Ridiculous but the "bad" side always sells more newspapers. +

It could go deeper than that. Is a Yankee's fan or did he just put on a hat anf went out? That is the question. But I know what you mean. There are playofs in Hockey and Basketball. We just had the NFl draft, The Kentucky Derby is right around the corner and ESPN is wasting time talking about a hat that a QB is wearing? Crazy.

And think did he or did he not have to wear a Notre Dame shirt the other year?

I just wanted to know. I don't think it is too much of a big deal It just shows that he has bad taste in baseball teams.

I read his bio and it sounds like he grew up in CA and went to college in Michigan. You gotta wonder where his attachment to the Yankees comes from?.. This makes me think of Ashton Kutcher. Prior to the Red Sox winning the World Series I noticed he was always pictured wearing a NY baseball cap. Since the Red Sox won, I notice he now wears a Red Sox cap all the time.

That's worse. You should root for your team for better or worse. Red Sox Nation should boot Ashton off the band wagon.

I know Tom isn't from Massachusetts so it really doesn't surprise me that he doesn't root for the Sox. I do think he could have shown a bit more respect though for the patriot fans out there that are also red sox fans (and I think that there are MANY people that follow both teams). I think that the picture got more news coverage than it should have though. Every local news channel seem to have this as one of their stories. It must have been a very slow news day.

I wonder if he knew how many people would be angered by his wearing of a Yankees' hat.
Maybe it was a joke? Maybe he was rehearsing for a play?

I really don't care.. I don't see why this is so hyped up. So what if he's a Yankees fan? Philip Hughes, Yankees pitching phenom is a die hard Sox fan.. No one is making a scene down in the Bronx.

Yankee fans are not as sensitive as Sox fans.I think it made a good slow news day story.

It wouldn't bother me a bit. Maybe it was a gift from Wade Boggs, who knows. However, I might be a little miffed in a Sox player wore it....that would be the ultimate pits, believe me. Believe it or not Yankee hats here in Portugal are very popular but it makes me laugh when I see gree, blue, red, yellow and pink yankee hats. People don't understand why I laugh and I dont tell em. The Yankee merchandising overseas is much wider than Boston's. But who cares. I got a t-shirt and a pennant from Fenway, so there. +
