I love gemstones and have several favorites. I guess Amethyst would be my first choice, but I also love Tanzenite, Kunzite, Rubelite and, of course, Diamonds. What about you - what is your favorite gemstone?

Yep, a woman after my own heart. I have a much longer list of stones that I like, too. LOL! I love amber, too! That is the coolest stone, even when there is nothing imbeded in it. I love the pieces with bubbles in it.

When I turned 13, my grandfather, who has collected various stones and rocks for his entire life, told me that when the girls in our family turn 13 (I would have been the... 5th to do so) he makes them a ring, with whatever stone they like best. I chose amber :) He put it in a silver ring, with a circular setting. I love it!

Wow, mandakat. That's totally special. I bet it is a beautiful ring, too. I'd love to see it if you ever happen to take a picture of it. I just love that you can post pictures directly on here.

I like sapphire, because it my birthstone. I to like diamonds for sure. My number one favorite is the blue diamond. My hubby got me the small blue diamond ring and I love it. They are very pretty.

I love all gemstones, but if I had to pick a favorite it would have to be a diamond. Nothing compares to the fire of a diamond in the light.

Diamonds, no doubt! For a little color, sapphire, emerald and ruby. I also love pearls. But if I could have only one of all of these it would be DIAMONDS!

Yeah, I love the colored gemstones. But diamonds come in colors, too. I'd LOVE to have a pink diamond - or a blue diamond. And the clear diamonds look soooo good set in yellow gold. I love the sparklies!

What a cool birthstone to have - a diamond. Mine is emerald and it's so hard to find a real emerald that is good and when you do, it's more expensive than a diamond.

My favorites are Amethyst (mine and my daughter's birthstone) and opal (my fiancee and my mom's birthstone). All gemstones are beautiful to me, even Onyx, which is pure black.

I really like the Ellensburg Blue Agate. If you've never heard of it, it's beautiful blues and found in Ellensburg, an area of Washington State, USA.

Being a September baby, I have to go with the Sapphire. I love that color blue and there's just something about the stone that gives me goosebumps. I've never owned a diamond, as I'm probably the only woman in the world that thinks they're a boring gem. I'd rather have a sapphire than any other stone.

I love the sapphire... I am also very lucky to have this as my birthstone as well...i love it so much my wedding ring has 2 sapphires in it besides the diamond. LOL Does Jade count, because I have been looking for a ring (thumb ring preferably) with jade in it...it just appeals to me lately, it never did before, but oh I would like to find one...LOL
