Ever been in a car accident?

I've only ever been in 2 small accidents. One was years and years ago. My family and I were on a roadtrip with my dad driving, and at about 3 in the morning we all woke up when we felt the van hit something.
It was actually a wolf that we hit that had darted across the highway into our lane, the van was fine, and the wolf was long gone before we could pull over.
The second was a few years ago. I was driving the 2km back to my parent's place from a friend's. I was only going about 30 km/hr down the road and at the bottom of a hill I hit a patch of black ice and overcorrected. I slammed into a snowbank, but thankfully a neighbour was coming down the road and towed me out. No damage, but I was shaken up. It all happened so fast.
Here in my city, drivers are really scary -- no signals, changing lanes without any regard for other drivers, slamming on their brakes instead of slowly stopping -- it's enough that I don't want to drive here, because I'm terrified of getting into an accident. Of course that doesn't prevent me from being in an accident as a passenger though.
So have you ever been in a car accident? Was it minor or a bad one? What happened?

It happend years back when I was in high school. My grandfather is not the best of drivers, but he used to drive me to school almost daily, and on this paticular day he just happend to speed and pass a red light. A car hit the back of his car and I nearly went flying. I had whiplash for a week and had a lot of trouble moving my neck, and it hurt. My grandfather was fine, but he got a scare from it, and a speeding ticket.

One time I was with my former boyfriend in his car, when we were still together, and our car was attacked by a pack of wild dogs that had surrounded the car and kept barking at it, snarling, growling, and biting at the wheels, door, etc. The dogs would not let us drive away. The only way we could leave was to run over one of the dogs and make a fast getaway. I hated that we had to kill a dog like that, but that was the only way we could leave. SCARY!!!

I was sitting at a red light when I got slammed from behind. The guy was going too fast, and couldn't stop on the icy street in time. My car should have been totaled, but I got it fixed. My friend and I both went to the hospital for x-rays, and the doctor could see no apparent damage, though I had a terrible headache, and my neck hurt really bad. My friend, who was my passenger claimed that her neck didn't hurt at all. I took off work the next day. I was only 20 years old when that happened, and I still have trouble with my neck from time to time.
