How do I resolve a discussion?

I just noticed on my options is "my unresolved discussions" I have never seen this and I am wondering how I go about resolving them.. Do I have to select a best response to do this or is there an option in my profile to check that it is resolved.
I am sure someone knows how to do this, if so could you please help me. I am lost!!!

You need to pick best responses... its right beside the names of the people who posted... otherwise all of them will remain unresolved
