Satellites?

So I was hearing from a friend the other day that there is a website you can go to, type in the area you live and be able to zoom in on it. You are able to zoom in anywhere you desire due to satellites. Is this actually possible? I was curious to know if I could zoom in and find my house. Does anyone know where I can find a website such as this? Please tell me. Thanks for responding.
