Bummer! Off-line for six days!

My modem stopped working and it took six days to get it replaced and my computer back on line. While it was very frustrating to not be able to do what I usually do on line, it was kind of peaceful not to have email! I am in a position of some responsibility with a non-profit and gets LOTS of emails wanting this or that from me. It was nice to have the break. I figured if it was really important, they'd phone. So I didn't worry about not being available through my email. But I didn't like that I couldn't access myLot, or my financial information, or multiple kinds of info I needed. And I didn't like that I couldn't SEND emails. So I've learned that it isn't all bad to be cut off from email for a while, although I'll be busy catching up. And it cramps my style to not have access to the web. Can't have everything, I guess. Just wanted all my friends to know that I'm back and I didn't leave by choice!
