Did you hear that the Gilmore Girls will be ending for good? I just read about it in yahoo news. After 7 years it is being cancelled because the ratings are down. How do you feel about this. I really enjoy my gilmore girl time. I watch it every Tuesday even if its a rerun! Damn it well that last episode is set to show on May 15th 07 so watch and see what happens. PS I also read that the writers did not want to end it with the traditional "wedding" so we will see.

I am so bummed out! I really love this show. My husband used to watch it and I never really got into it. Then we got Blockbuster Online and I was running out of shows to order. We can't rent movies becaus we never have time to watch them without 18 billion interruptions. I decided to try it out and got Season One and now I am addicted. I am still way behind on the seasons and I tuned in last week to see that Lane had twins? What? I missed a lot!!! Anyway, I am veyr bummed about them canceling this show. I will just have to buy the DVD box sets or something.

I think that is really stupid! It is the only show I watch every week - and the only show I feel is worthwile to watch anymore. I wish they would just change their minds about it

I read that it was a possiblity and just had it confirmed on Spoilerfix.com. I would have liked it to come back for 1 more season, but such is life. They will be missed. It's hard to find a show with such great dialogue!

Yes, I think that's what I liked the most about the show, that it was dialogue-driven. Not so much this last season, though.

Wow, I had heard rumors in the past about this being thier last season. But I had heard it was because they were waiting on Alexis Blediel to resign her contract for another season, not because of ratings. I have a hard time thinking they are down on ratings. It is such a good show, but all good things must come to an end. Sooner or later I imagine the actors and actresses get tired of playing the same old part time and time again. They need change and I think that is why alot of these shows get cancelled. My only reasoning that the show may come back next season is because normally when a show is being cancelled they start to annouce the series finale when there are still a couple of episodes left and they have yet to mention anything on tv. So we will have to wait and see. I will really miss the show if it does not come back.

I really like this show too...although I have missed a lot of the new episodes... I guess I should try and catch or tape an episode before it's over for good. It used to be on the weekends..but I don't think it is on anymore...

I know why take such a good show off the air. I will miss it, there are not too many feel good shows left out there. I have just started my collection. I have the first and second season on DVD. Mother's day is coming up and i am hoping my kids will remember season 3 lol. I wish it wouldn't end but i will have it DVD to watch whenever i like.

I did not know they were ending Gilmore Girls. I watch this show every week faithfully. I don't know what I will watch now. I guess I will have to pull out the dvd series and watch one show every week from the begining. LOL. I will definately miss this show. I hope they end the show completely. I would like to see Luke and Loralie get back together before it ends. I think Rory and Logan make a great couple and will do good together.

I am so bummed. I have enjoyed watching all the gilmore girls episodes. But all good things must come to an end. :( I hope it is a happy ending, I hate it when shows/movies end with no one happy. But I don't think it will. Usually in gilmore girls things work out ok in the end. I really hope rory and logan get married. It doesn't have to end with their marriage, just as long as we know it will happen that is good enough for me.

I don't want it to end!.....I have a good mind to call those freaks and tell them to give us at least one more half season... Ask Ausiello stated that they haven't made that decision yet, but that the hold up was Alexis Graham's fault because she wants to change Lorelai and make the show more emotional. How could it possibly be more emotional....I think if they do end it, they should have Lorelai and Luke and Rory and Logan get married together in Stars Hollow....lol..that would put into motion again the whole point of the mother/daughter legacy and would be a great way to end the series. How do you think it should end?

I've been hearing this rumored for most of this season actually, so I'm not surprised at all to hear that it is actually going. I really love the show, but I think once Amy and Daniel Palladino left, it hasn't been quite the same...I will be sad but I'm looking forward to checking out the new show that Amy has in the works.

It's not because of ratings. It's because of Alexis Bledel (Rory). I am sad to see it go, but on the other hand I am glad that it didn't do what a lot of dramas do: stick around until they're irrelevent and annoying (like 7th heaven). So they get to leave on a high note. :)

I just heard it on the news this morning. I am so heart broken!!! Why do they keep taking away the shows that I really enjoy??? I support Gilmore Girls and buy their DVD seasons as soon as they are released! This is truly a sad thing to be happening. My daughter and I love watching the Gilmore Girls together. And how could they not end it with a traditional wedding??? They need it with the way the watchers want to make all happy.

Oh no!! I was afraid of that after watching this weeks episode!! That sucks!! It's my favorite show on TV! Maybe by not having a traditional wedding they mean that it'll be a double wedding? I sure hope they get Lorelai and Luke back together. I wish they're was something we could do to get it from being canceled.

I love this show. I watch it every week even if it's a rerun too. All the good shows are either ending or changing a lot. I wanted to see Rorys life after Yale and the rest of the cast.
