How to find best discussions

my customized mylot homepage - This is how it is arranged when I am focusing on posting and participating in mylot discussion. I really like the ability to move the containers around and change what you want them to display. The system is very easy to use. What this picture isn't showing is what it looks like when you get an interests feed on your home page. I think mostly you get pictures but for sports teams they show updated score of their current game. Its a great feature

There are a lot of ways to get to the topics posted on mylot right now the homepage is my favorite as you can seen in my picture i follow my friends and most of the typical discussion types as at a glance its easy to read many at once. But i find this method gets stale quickly.. I'm too lazy to add more interests right now so i guess i'll just keep going this way.. do any of you have a secret source for great discussion topics?

I actually go through a lot of my emails to find my friend discussions. Then once I am on mylot I go through the discussions with no responses and the top discussions and discussions from my interests. If all that fails then I start tracking what some of my friends have been replying to, to see if there is anything else interesting out there that I missed the first time around, but usually by then, I am sick of my slow loading computer. :P

Yeah I like the new user discussions too because usually they are looking to make conversation its always good to meet new people here too.
