I recently bought something from ebay and I left a positive feedback for the seller. It's been almost 2 weeks now and the seller has not left feedback for me. I want to email this person and say pleave leave me feedback, but I also don't want to get a negative feedback just because I annoyed the guy (or girl). My payment was made the same day as the auction ended, there were really no problems with the transaction at all, so I don't get why they haven't left feedback!

I've only had that happen once, and it was with a new ebayer. He bought something and I didn't hear anything. I ended up sending an email, asking if he'd recieved the part ok, because he hadn't left feedback yet. Took a few days, but he finally did. Maybe they don't check their email very often or are out of town...

it is normal that the other side will not leave u a feedback after the transaction is completed.i have been selling on ebay for 6 months.i made quite a lot of sells too but till now i only receive 11 feedbacks.but at least i got my first star in ebay.while in another auction site in my country i have been selling for 2 years. every month i would make 30 sales.but my feedbacks until now is only 37.last year most of my buyers did not leave feedbacks to me.usually i have to give them rating first before they will rate me.most of the buyers think that after they got their item the transaction is done. mostly they left out the last part which is to rate the seller.but for sellers the feedbacks are very important for them.this is because when you receives a lot of feedbacks it show whether you are trusted seller or not.so it will attract more buyers to buy things from you.but most of buyers are not aware of this. usually i just ask for feedbacks once.if they did not respond to it then i will not ask them anymore.or else they would feel you are annoying.so you just have to wait when they gonna give you the feedbacks.they won't give you the feedbacks immediately.

I would check and see when the last time they've left feedback for. It could just be that they haven't got around to leaving feedback - especially if they're a big seller. Have you left them feedback? I know as a seller I don't leave feedback until the buyer does because a lot of times the buyers won't. A lot of times the sellers won't too. I have emailed a seller about it before though. I was really polite and asked them if there had been a problem. They were also nice about it and went and left me positive feedback. Good luck :)

I have had this happen to me a few times. The first few times it happened I emailed the seller to ask if the had a chance to post feedback for me. After a while i decided that if they didn't want to leave feedback for me then I wouldn't be buying from that person again.

I have had the same problem, and have had different responses. I have been apologized to, ignored, sworn at, and told to mind my own business. Feedback to me is a part of good customer service. If the seller doesn't want to do their part, then I would do my shopping elsewhere next time. There are alot of great sellers on Ebay.

I would send a message that says "Thanks for the item! I got it a few weeks ago and had a great transaction. I have left you feedback about the transaction and would appreciate if you could do the same when you get a change. Thanks again!" Or something along those lines. It really irks me when ebayers don't leave feedback. Ebay buyers and sellers are their feedback and about me pages.

Hi hsmom2boys. There is a limited window of time for having the feedback posted. If it's not done during that time, you don't get it posted at all, even if there is a problem. I think it would be alright to send a gentle reminder that you've posted positive feedback on your purchase and if there was no problem with their end, you would appreciate getting positive feedback on return. Sometimes, that's all it takes to get the feedback you're looking for since most sellers understand how important these ratings are. If they don't do anything, I would recommend forgetting about it. Being considered a pest could wind up getting you negative feedback even if you were a quick payer and isn't worth it to damage your reputation if they've been super busy and just happen to be in a foul mood when they receive multiple reminders. ;)

I have the same problem but I sent the seller a message thru eBay anyway. I'll only send one message if I haven't gotten any feedback after a couple of weeks and then if I still don't hear anything after a month, I'll give up. Some sellers just don't bother with FB until the last second. It sucks but it happens.

Sellers have around 30 days to leave feedback so it's still possible you could get it anyway.
