I just saw a news item in rediffnews dated 1.05.07 that there are several SEOs in India who draws salary more than ten million dollars. The case may not differentg in other countries. I am not jeleous with them. But I feel that the gap between rich and poor will increase if these types of huge salary is paid. What do you say?

In the Philippine scenario, I agree. We have here an inverted pyramid, 89 percent of the population get 1 percent of wealth (poor), 10% of the population get 10% of the wealth (middle class) while the 1% gets the 89% wealth (riches).
The gap is getting bigger and bigger. I don't know if my numbers are an exaggeration, but I've heard of it many times. :D

The ratio mentioned by you is correct in all parts of the world. It is said that this gap is becoming more wider in socialistic countries . Thank you.

You are right. I read in a book that if you give ten thousand dollars to 50 person at a time and ask them do a business in between, you can see that all the money will be with some of them after one year. thank you.

yes it is true the rich get richer, the poor remains poor. Unless there is an action taken by the government to reduce the increasing gap between the poor and the rich. I don't know what's the action to be taken but seriously, the action that can reduce the gap must be taken. I am envy with the rich everytime I read the top earnings people in the world , see how much they earn? So huge money! At the common people how much they earned compared to the rich? So huge the gap!!!!

Some people say that communism is one way to reduce the gap. Previously communists used to say that "we have nothing to lose but chains" But in my place the communists are very much rich and some of their party offices are fully air conditioned and in that sense they have a lot of things to lose and hence communism may not be able to do anything. What is the other way. End corruption may be a better way.

In the place I live, the gap between rich and poor is getting wider very fast. Take the people around for example, as the share market is booming these days, so my friends who have lot of money can invest million dollars buying share and have earned nearly two times of their investment, while those who have no extra money for the investment become comparatively poorer.

Investing in share market is good as far as the present situation is concerned, but we can not say that it will last long. Thank you for the response

Yes, the gap is increasing.
But I like this kind of gap. As long as this kind of gap exists it means if I work harder I can climb up to the top and enjoy the life. This is good.
Well, if I can ever climb to the top I will also help the people in the low. So I don't think there is any problem.
Just think of a communist party. I don't like it.

You may be right. When I was studying in school, there was a pen called "bismi" and we loved to use it. After some years , another multinational company started the "pen business" with a lower cost and people began to use their pen. Sowly "Bismi" vanished from the world. In the share market also we can see big lions trying to eat small companies. Hence even if we work hard, in some cases, we may not be able to the reach the hight we expects to reach. Thank you for the comment.

Not only the gap is increasing rich people are making more and more and they are now trying to eradicate the poor people by looting their land torchering them by politicians and one day there will a competition will arise among the rich people to get on top of that ,it really is there even now also.and there will be a gap between rich people also. All of the people somehow want to place their mark on this earth before they die.
