what you do when you already get the solution to your discussion?

hello ladies and gentlemen.. as you know.. we have the option to create a discussion.. and to mark the best response from other members.... but.. how do we actually close a discussion when we think we already have enough response? i think this is an important question as sometimes i think i have no idea what to reply to the other members anymore.. i think i've accumulate enough information and i am able to solve my problems with all the solutions provided.. do you ever feel like closing your discussion? how are you going to do it? mark the best response and nobody will post in your discussion anymore?

Hello,charlestchan. i have problems in choosing the best response,it is a glitch of mylot.
I think it does not mean the discussion is closed just because you have chosen the best response,other members can still reply to it anytime,but it is hard to say when will you get enough replies. What I can say is to give the best response when you feel that the reply really deserves for the best response.

yep.. somtimes i want to put a stop in my discussion.. but i can't.. really can't do anything about it..

There is a provision also for the discussion to choose to classify as resolved discussion. You can see the unresolved discussions in the list you browse under discussion. Select best answer out of the responses, that is the way to resolve a discussion.

Hi Charles, In regards to this all that you have to do with any of your discussion is to choose your best response and reply to that also make sure that anyone that has responded to your discussions that you give them a + rating and that is the end it will not be there any more which means that you would of solved your discussion. Oh no sometimes people do still respond to it but not that many times ok.

can i stop thanking them if i think i've already got the solution.. it's really to thank so many people at the same time.. i feel bad when i can't reply all.. i will feel tired at times too..

i mark the person's comment as the best response and then use add a comment to tell that person and other responders that this is the response that best suits me or solves my problems.

This is a very good thing to think about...
I also tried as you said that i gave best response .Still i get responses for some of my discussions..The same thing is also happening with me too...I dont know what to do...
Maybe now iam responding to the discusssion which you may have already selected the best response for ...I never usually check if the discussion has been given the best response for..
Thats wat all others are doing...
So i think there should be a provision for deleting the discussion...That will solve this problem and will save precious time of many...

Unfortunately there is no way for us to close a discussion. Anybody can just put in more comments if they wish to. I guess there is no harm about that since you have n obligation to reply to any comments given to you. the reply is only for courtesy sake.
