Has anyone had the good fortune to see this amazing band live?
I recently saw them for their Christmas show in Dublin and it was a fantastic experience.
It was at the Point which is a huge, soul-less venue here but it was packed to the rafters and while I couldn't see a thing it was one of the most fun nights I've had!
Everyone in the crowd (and it was a VERY diverse crowd - people from all walks of life over here just LOVE the Pogues) was having an awesome time, a real sense of comraderie and dare I say it a bit of nationalism too.
shane MacGowan did a lovely tribute to Kirty McCall and Joe Strummer and his God-daughter sand Fairy Tale in New York with him - complete with fake snow.

a good number of years ago i had the good fortune to see the pogues live in Leeds, it was a chaotic night, Shane was at his drunk rambling best. The night was amazing, i knew he had to either dry out or die
thankfully he dried out
blessed be
