I myself actually believed in destiny when I was at my pre-teen years. I used to think that my prince will come at the time when our two hearts meet and finally fall in love. And that everything happens for a reason. But at some point in my life where everything changes and there's nothing constant in this world but change. I finally realized that destiny is not what really matters this time. The things that happen in our lives are brought about by our decisions, mistakes and outlook in life. Constant change as they say. For me, what I am now is the result of my decisions and not of destiny,. How about you? Do you believe in destiny? share with me your thoughts.

Believe in destiny and also fate... but do not leave anything to chance! Destiny is the fruit of the residual balance of karma that has been brought forward from all previous manifestations. That does not mean I cannot change my destiny. By performing the requisite karma in the present life... one can mold ones destiny. How? Suppose you are born at number 46.30029 in the house of a farmer. In the normal circumstances if I leave everything in the hands of destiny... then I might marry another farmer's daughter and settle down in life. Alternatively, if I desire marrying the Princess of the state (for which the minimum residual balance of karma required is 50) then in the present manifestation I need to further accumulate a balance of four to marry the Princess. Taking control of destiny is directly governed by the karma we perform. Bill Gates... practically a school failure dedicated his life for the cause that was dear to his heart. He developed the wonderful Windows program and became the architect of Microsoft Corporation. He augmented his handicap for education by employing the best brains in the industry. He ultimately not only controlled his destiny but of many others. Destiny is not a matter of choice or desire. We need to perform the right karma to fulfill the desires and choices dear to our heart. Taking control of destiny demands a high level of perfection in everything we do or get done. Those who take the control of their destiny never leave anything to chance. I wanted to see God face-to-face in this life. I started in search of God at 13 years of age. 25 years of yoga and meditation paved way for my reaching the highest pedestal of the spiritual life. I gained self realization at 37 after establishing absolute control over the five senses and the mind. I ultimately reached the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi. This is my last manifestation... the 8.4 million manifestation! I shall but take salvation (aka moksha in Hinduism) at the end of my present life. Having reached the pinnacle of spiritual glory... the Mount Everest of spiritual life... I have nowhere else to go other than leave the mortal frame at the end of the journey.

i dont believe in destiny or the so called preset future. it is us who are actually creating plans for our future, consciously or subconsciously, and further manipulate present decisions and actions in ways we believe will take us there. And all these, we may not accept it, are done in denial to the truth that it is just us who are controlling our own lives and, instead, fabricate a plausible divine reason to support and guide us into believing that something better is waiting for us ahead so that we can always remind ourselves that things shouldn't be like it is if things are falling apart or are desperately derailing away from what we plan or desire. of course a person, free from all judgment and fear of not able to cope up or star over, can always choose and drop decisions or plans according to his needs or wants at any points in his life. and what happens along the way, like unexpected events or unforeseen twists, we tend to call it "WE ARE DESTINED FOR THIS", but if we look closer, it is just you and the other person, driving your own lives and just happen to meet in a complex web of events.
