I have a 5mth old son and he has been teething for the past 2 mths and I have been using these liilte dissolvable tablets named Humphreys. They are preety good, you should give them a try, he hasn't had any side effects from it. I also have a 4yr old son and when he was teething I used the same thing, so its pretty good.

I personally like to use as natural as possible when it comes to my children. What I have found that works great is ground cloves. When my children started teething, I would put a very small pinch of ground cloves in a bowl and mix water with it. Depending on how old they were at the time is how much I diluted it, the younger the more water. I suggest if you do do this, I would mix it up and put some on your own tongue first to make sure it isn't too strong. You do not want to cause the child to become orally defensive.
I know they also have teething tablet in the homeopathic stores or on the net.
As the person said before me, you are never suppose to give a child under 1 year of age honey. Doing this can cause infant botulism. If your child is under 1 and you gave him the honey, I would contact your doctor to be sure he is ok.

How old is your child? A child should not have honey untill they are at least 1 years old. Try Hylands teething gel or teething tablets. They are all natual and can be found at Walmart and many other baby stores.
