What is the deal with the British Lottery?

I keep getting these emails from the British Lottery International. I know they are scams but how do you unsubscribe?
It's driving me crazy, everyday there are up to 3 in my inbox.

they are scames, i have also recived them, one time i decided to play along. for me to get the money i suposaly won i had to send them $500. i said i would send the oney once i got the wnings as i did not have any. they stopped sending them for awhile. then they just started up again a week later with a new name and more money that i had won. i just delet them.
