Religious symbols are sacred?

Should objects of worship or nationla sentiment be used as objects of display? That's the million dollar question thaplagues the India now.Whether it is Esha Deol sporting a tatto of the Gayathri mantra on her back or Mandira Bedi wearing a sari with the national flag below her knees,, religious or national symbols used as decorative items or as fashion objects have always been an issue of debate and endless controversies. I am not superstitious about using religious symbols., but, I would llike to call my self sensitive. I respect our national flag far too much to use it as a fashion accessory.Each person has his own set of beliefs. Though I would not personally go for use of religious or national symbols.
