In my 27 years of existence, I could say Ive spent 6 years of it teaching basic psychology to college students. Honestly, I never dreamt of becoming a teacher, I thought I'd be a doctor, a lawyer or a guidance counselor!! well Ive tried becoming a counselor though, and I was good at it actually but I felt it wasnt my calling. I tried becoming a doctor but my grades in most of my science subjects seem to disagree with me. So I ended up teaching right after my graduation, although of course, I got promoted and became an administrator, but I still teach. Teaching became a part of my system actually!! At times when there are suppose to be "NO CLASSES" .. hahaha! Believe it or not!! I would still want to go to school and teach!! Im a bit hypocrite dont you think? Why didnt I pursue my dream of becoming a lawyer? You might be wondering why that seems to be out of the picture for a while... Im working on it, haha. Im in my third year Law proper. Its kinda difficult working and studying at the same time, but Im surviving!! Tnx to my friends and my parents who always remind me of the luxury of life I would have if I will be a successful lawyer someday. But you know what, I believe that once a teacher will always be a teacher! Just in case Id be able to pass the bar exam, I would love to teach still. I just cant explain the joy I feel everytime I see my students greeting me in the streets, respecting me not because I am or I was their teacher, but because I became a part of their lives, its because I became a sister and a mother, if not to all of them, to most of them. I am happy that I could touch their very souls, and make them the persons they want to be in the future... TEACHING IS INDEED THE NOBLEST PROFESSION. AND IM PROUD BEING A TEACHER!!
