A male or Female baby, which do you want first and why?

I love both sexes of babies. Personally l would love my first baby to be a bouncing baby girl. l believe baby girls are more helpful in house work, and can really take care of the younger ones better than a boy child would.
But culturally, l want a bouncing baby boy, my culture value all babies, but appreciate a male child better, they beleive he will answer the fathers name when the father dies, but a female child will marry, and the family name dies, where the man has no boy, what a funny reason.
Which do you prefere and why?

i think there is similarity between my country and urs.the old generation here think men are more important than women,so they only like to see baby boys always.but i dont mind a boy or a girl coz i dont have this kinda belief.as long as its my kid,i will love her/him whole-heartedly.

I always wanted a boy first. I dont really know why. And thats what I got. I now have two wonderfull boys who are my life. When I had my first son a friend said to me that I was lucky I had a boy. I asked why. She said well when you have a boy you only have to worry about his "peter" but when you have a girl you have to worry about all the little "peters" out there!!! I never laughed so hard. But it is true if you think about it!

if given a chance to have a baby soon:) i prefer to have a healthy baby boy first because i believe that having an eldest boy could help you in a lot of things and help you take care of the youngster as well.. and the middle child would be a healthy baby girl:) for me having a baby boy first not just would answer the fathers name when the dad's gone but also would be a discplinarian in the family in the absence of the father:)

Hi. I love to have them both as twins if i have the privilege or blessing! However, if i have a choice, i'll love to have a baby girl first before a baby boy. This is because girl-child as they grow up are more useful when it comes to nursing their younger ones and running little errands in the kitchen and what have you especially if your spouse believes that kitchen is not meant for boys. cheers!

I really wanted to have a daughter when I was pregnant because I wanted that special mother-daughter bond. I never had boys around growing up so I wasn't quite sure what I'd have to deal with. I found out I was having a boy and everyone told me it's best because he'd be protective of his future siblings. Now that he's here, I can't imagine having a girl! I've lost lots of weight chasing after him lol, plus he's a mamas boy so that helps ;)
