I don't like buying second hand products. I am not rich, by the way:) The reason I don't like second hand products is I am worried about the quality. Used things can not compare to brand new stuff. I prefer to buy new products that I can afford.

I have ever bought a football which was a second hand product from a friend of mine, that football has a good quality and cheaper than a brand new one.I was satisfied with this exchange.so, second hand products can also really meet your demands.

I always buy second hand products if I can find them in good condition. A used, good quality product can outlast a cheap new version several times over. If you don't like the term "used," consider the product an antique. :)

That's why you buy used and CALL it antique. :)

I am quite happy to buy second hand goods so long as they are in good condition and they work properly. I often buy second hand clothes as it is cheaper for me to do so

That depends .I used to buy living consumer from Alibaba or Taobao if the products in a good quality and reseanoble price .But i never buy the second hand clothes for me .Because i worry about the sanitation condition of the cloth ,perhaps the previous owner of the cloth had been infected with skin disease ,and the cloth is not properly sanitized .But there is one kind of cloth i would like to buy ,that is baby's clothes .In my own opinion ,the second hand baby cloth do good to your baby ,because it is old one ,and there is absolutely no any chemical content remains on the clothes .What is your opinion?

i don't buy second hand baby clothes. I will see whether my friends or relatives have the old baby clothes so that they can give me. It's better to have these old baby clothes from someone who I know.

I was buying a lot of second hand products when I was in Romania because they were really cheap and as a student I could not afford to buy new ones. I still have some and they were some of them real good because they were coming from western countries where the quality is better.

I don't like to buy second hand products, and my mother say that we are made it to keep our family tradition, but if we buy something, we must to buy something new. I can't use something old, who other person use before. I like to be first who have something.

Hi, youless. I don't like the second hand products, either. I am not rich, but everything on me that should be new and clean. It kinda weir if someone let to wear others' cloth, use others' furniture......I wish everything is brand new since the day I have it.

I like buyting second hand goods. Sometimes they are really better than the new things. Moreover they are less expensive so everything is for the second hand goods. Good luck to everybody.

A lot of the time you can find second hand items that are well known brand names that are still in great condition. All of my furniture is second hand and even my Xbox and all my Xbox games area second hand. I can never afford to buy anything new other than food and shoes of course.

I'm a fan of second hand goods so long as they are clean and in good condition. I love going to consignment stores and often look through the racks at my local Goodwill. I live in an area with some really affluent people (and I am NOT one of them), so it's so great for me to be able to get designer labels at the GoodWill! I've gotten Banana Republic pants withthe tag still on, and almost got a French Connection skirt...but it was a touch to small! I've also gotten some good furniture deals, including a little bench that I re-painted red (it's looks great that way) and a nighttable that was in perfect condition. I think it's just a metter of being a smart shopper when shopping second hand.

It's good that you can find good second hand products so easily. I often think it's a problem to find a good one.

That depends on the item. I don't buy second hand clothing becuase to be honest it's not that expensive to buy new, yet in charity shops (in the UK) they aren't actually that cheap, so it doesn't cost much more to buy them new and at least you know they are in good condition and that if they do have a fault you can take them back. Same for underwear and shoes. I wouldn't buy make up or toiletries second hand as you don't know how long someone has had the item so they might not be at their best, plus it might not be hygenic. Furniture i would, becuase it's expensive new and often in good condition. Books i buy second hand as i only want to read them once then sell/dontate them afterwards anyway!

That's a tough question for some people! For instance, a friend of mine cannot understand why I go to Salvation Army for clothing that I need quickly for a party or wedding function. If I haven't got the hundreds of dollars for a fantastic outfit, I go there to find designer outfits that have been overlooked!I regularly find outfits that still have their original tags on them! The trouble is usually finding something in my size. I'm very average; often the sizes are very small or very large. The thing is, once in a while I hit on something that's just right at a fraction of the cost that it would have been in the store. All the clothing in Salvation Army is given with the condition that it be clean; but items that still have their tags on need to be sent to the dry cleaner before wearing. It's that simple. I also dumpster dive. Last fall I found an entire wardrobe of sweaters and blouses that had never been worn, obviously form a woman in my complex who gained lots of weight, really fast. The sizes ranged from 11 to 16, with most in-between. I took them took the tags off, cleaned them, and poof! I had all my Fall tops. eBay also has a lot of dealers in used/gently used clothing. I have sold some of the "tags on" clothing there that didn't fit me. Some of the items were Official Sports clothing, that nets quite a lot of interest and money. As for kitchen items and electronics - I rarely buy stuff from Salvation Army. Unless it's in obviously great condition, I won't buy it. For instance: I found an old Kenwood receiver in a wooden cabinet. It worked, but needed cleaning. So I opened it up, dusted out the electronics, cleaned the front dials and "screen" and polished up the wood. The receiver got me over $100 dollars, and I wish I'd kept it. That was a vintage piece of electronics that I will probably never see again! Books can always be purchased at Salvation Army and Goodwill! I find lots of little old ladies pouring over the stacks looking for rare books, author-signed books, and children's books. They are worth lots of money, depending on the publishing date, edition, and author signings. I don't really have the time to research all of them, but it makes for a great hobby. The thing to remember is that you don't want to purchase something that you can't clean. Some people are under the illusion that you will catch some sort of disease from stuff that you buy second-hand. It's completely untrue. Just clean it! (I don't buy air conditioners, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, foot baths, and personal bath items that have been used. I just don't have the time to treat them with antibacterial chemicals, and chances are, you may not do a good enough job. But by and large, if you inspect the items thoroughly before purchase, you will come out on top!

I think I won't buy second hand clothes. As they are used, I will be little worried about the healthy issues. Books may be OK to buy, but at first I have to make sure that they are not very broken and dirty. Maybe I'm a little be picky in this aspect.

True. Its still better to buy brand new products over the second hand. Because second hand products have disadvantages, like the quality and durability. You don't know how much this product have been used before you've purchased it. And who knows how long can that product be able to use. Its a waste of money if you think you can save money out of this products, rather you can buy those products that is quite cheaper yet better than the second hand products.
