This happens to me in the winter due to dry skin. I use gold bond medicated lotion now and it hasn't happened for a while. You might want to see a dermatologist -- he can prescribe you some stronger anti-itch cream than you could by OTC. I also keep a little tube of cortisone cream around, that stops the itch for a little while.
Good luck!

Nope you are not alone. I get that too every once and awhile but I get dry skin when the weather constantly changes. So I am always putting on lotion.

You may have dry skin in that area, buy some vaseline intensive Care, or other itching cream and if that doesn't work you will need to see a dermatologist.

Yes... I know what you mean...
I have had this for years on both my ankles.
There are some little spots under the skin... and the more you scratch, the bigger the spots seem to become and the more itchy it becomes.
If you don't control your scratching, you end up with no skin.
I seem to get it when my legs get cold.
I control it with a hydrocortisone acetate cream which is for all sort of skin irritation. It is also great to provide relief against mosquitoes bites.

I think it's called RLS -- Restless Leg Syndrome, some call it Jimmy Legs. LOL! You're not alone, and I think they have medication for it. It can also be caused by (shhhhh) menopause -- but then it would happen more in other places, I THINK. (Not that I would know ANYTHING about menopause, ya know. ;- LOL!)

OK, this might sound strange but maybe it will help you not feel alone. ha ha
When I get stressed, in front and the middle of my thigh will itch. It will itch and I will scratch and not even know it. And then...I will itch to the point of bruising myself! I will not break the skin or anything like that...but there will be a bruise because I am itching that same spot.
Sometimes I will catch myself because it starts to hurt. But there are other times that my partner has caught me and just put his hand on mine to get me to stop because he has seen the bruises.
I don't know why I itch my leg in the same spot every time when I stress....but I do. So...that might be it...it might be a way that you take out your stress.
Strange...I know...But I do it. ha ha

Oh gal we could have a sratching party. I have been itching for about a month now. Every evening it is my back, and some mornings too. Also whenever I sit at the computer, like now, within a few minutes I start feeling like little creepy crawlies are on me. My legs and right wrist and forearm. They itch so and it's a traveling itch. I even got paranoid about it and cleaned the heck out of my chair (Upholstered) and the desk and carpet and I even put down flea powder just incase and then vaccumed everything real good. No relief. I know this room is hot but damn! not that hot to cause itching. My hubby does not get this way in here. Anyway, now when I go to the other room, after a while my legs may quit itching but my arm and back won't until I take a shower. I have hubby put lotion on my back everynight now. I even switched brands to see if that was it. Nope!
I don't know but I think there's a itching comspiracy going on. Itching waves are being beamed through our TV's and computer screens. What do you think? Is it a conspiracy or has the itching just caused me some brain damage? LOL
I hope you get some relief soon dear. It is probably just allergies; dry air and pollen and all.
(Don't believe her, it's a government experimrent.)
Who said that!!
