Why bash another country and then . . .

give a negative rating when someone defends that country (which is their own, after all)?? Isn't this site about exchanging ideas? I don't particularly care that my star rating has fallen after I posted responses which attempted to add another point of view to certain discussions which were blatantly anti-American. I wasn't trying to prove anybody wrong, just trying to let them know what the average American has been taught, as opposed to how our government sometimes behaves. I even acknowledged how screwed-up we are sometimes. Is it just a knee-jerk response from people who feel so oppressed that they can't even listen to another point of view?

Rating systems suck, I won't really pay attention to it if I were you. The minority will probably use it for what it is intended for, a bigger part will rate positive on ideas which are like theirs and negative on the opposite whilst most of the people will probably not rate at all to begin with.

It just took me by surprise, I guess. Plus it was such a quick effect -- maybe because I don't have a huge number of posts, too. Ah well, easy come, easy go! :-)

I wont negetive grade simply because he is defending his country , after all its his duty to do so being a countrymen. But i will surely negetive grade someone who speaks ill for others country , now who gave him the right to speak bad for a country which he doesnt know , good post ,keep up the good work.
