Sylar vs. Peter? Who would win; could anyone win?

As the last episode nears it's end, Peter and Sylar face off. Now, barring the going back in time, and stopping it all from happening, who would win? After Sylar just killed Clarie, he can now regen. Peter can likewise regen, after Inivisble Man threw him off that roof. They both can create bomb level explosions. They both have TK powers. So, could either of them win, or would it be a stalemate? Perhaps they'd burn each other away to atoms?

Well, if Peter can absorb powers just being around someone, he will absorb all Sylar's powers. And as he has got some Sylar hasn't, I think Peter would definitely win.

I don't think he has to be around the person to use the powers. The only person I know to have the explosion powers is Ted, the guy with the glowing hands that took Parkman into the Bennet's home. Perhaps he "met Ted in the future," which is why he may have had that dream/vision of exploding. Once he uses a power, he can seemingly use it whenever he wants, as he shows by using the invisible powers, especially when he flees Isaac after he shoots Simone. So, I don't think he needs to be around someone to use it. I don't even think he needs to be there to initially get the power, he just has to think of it, and he can do it.

I didn't said he had to be around someone to use his/her powers! I said he could ABSORB someone's powers just by being around him/her. For instance, Peter met the invisible guy (I forgot his name) and after that he could be invisible too. Once he learned how to be invisible, he could do this even if that guy was not around. But from what's been shown, I can presume Peter only gets a new ability by being around someone gifted. I don't think all he needs to do is to think about something to be able to do it. He couldn't heal until Claire was around him for the first time. He could fly since the beginning. He couldn't be invisible until he met the invisible guy. He couldn't read someone's mind until he met Parkman. I do think Peter has to have some physical contact with a person (or they at least have to be in the same place at the same time) to absorb his/her abilities. But that's just my theory. Maybe you're right, who knows.

I think Peter can win because he can stop time. Just wonder why he didn't use that power to freeze Sylar and burn Sylar to dust. Regen will not work if you turn into dust. But I think this drama will go on to season 2, season 3 like 24. So Sylar will not die so easily except the writter wish to end the story.

Remember this last episode? Future Hiro asked if Peter wanted to just stop time, and Peter had the attitude that he'd been spoiling for a good fight. So, that could actually be Peter's downfall. And as we saw, if taken unaware, Future Hiro was shot and killed. If Peter gets cocky, Sylar could turn the tables, and vaporize Peter into nothing! Not that I'm wanting Sylar to win, but if he's not careful, he could get his @$$ handed to him!

Probably Peter since he played the good one here and Sylar makes everyone hate him means that he's a bad guy. As usual, the good guy should win over the bad guy.

Peters going to win, remember they are going to find a little girl this next episode and I think she has the power that we seen sylar with (the ice) which in turn can stop the explosion because it is the counter of fire...but we'll see!! Its getting very exciting, so when they said the end is coming soon that means its the end of the show? :( So sad

Not at all! Think of it as a book in a series of books. What we are seeing are the individual "chapters to book 1." Or season 1. This is merely the final chapters to book 1. As has been mentioned on various online groups, and wikipedia, Heroes is one of NBC's top rated shows; they aint letting it fall away. This is only the end of book 1! Book 2, coming soon to a TV near you! :D
