Why do teachers get paid less than super models?

Just my opinion, but I think that teachers contribute a whole lot more to society than super models. Just a thought.
All models have to do is look pretty and walk down a runway. Besides being anarexic, which I'm sure is exhausting, they really don't do anything else.
Teachers on the other hand, if you're actually there to teach, are molding the minds of children. They are educating and training the future leaders of the world. Even administration gets paid more than teachers! C'mon people. Let's get our priorities straight.

Yes, I think the same as you. Teachers contribute a lot to the society... Also, they must train hard, and study too, to get where they are. Teachers have a hard duty in their hands, while models only have to be beautiful and thin (not easy, though).
The difference is: teachers must use their minds to get where their minds. Models not.
I think teachers should earn more... Just my opinion, though.

I agree with you.Teachers are great and they give service like no other. They shoud be ranked up their in the highest paid career. What I really wanna know is who decides what to pay an individual and why a teacher is down there with mcdonalds employees.

Because Calvin Klein alone has more money than the state of Mississippi does. Plus there are a lot more teachers than there are supermodels. Gotta split that pay up.

I know what you mean. Teachers do contribute more time to kids and teach them. I believe because supermodels are more known for either their name or for looking good on the runway is why they get paid more. They have a celebrity status, that makes the whole world know them, and teachers don't. Although teachers should be more widley known. It's just the popularity factor in the two.

because there is a provision in the law that if you are seen on a form of public viewing, you must be paid for it. it is not fair i believe because as we know, economical crisis on the rise, would you prefer getting a job which could pay you less?
