Is it just me .....

I have been on and off here all day and I have noticed too that it is a very slow and quiet day here Which is pretty unusual. Hopefully it picks up again soon

Oh - we're around. But yeah - I have noticed that there are less new discussions starting up. Like someone said, it is probably the warmer weather that's keeping people away from there computers & therefore, MyLot. Oh - & spring cleaning probably doesn't help much either. Well - I'll try to come back shortly. I got to find my kitchen sink under this HUGE pile of dishes that's piled up to the ceiling.

Gabs, it still seems quite quiet (even now - 3 years later), I hardly ever see many of my old friends here now. Have you heard from MummyMo or WeeMam recently? I haven't seen them either for some time - it may be that I've just missed them. I think I only see around 7 or 8 of the people who were quite active when I started.

That's good for me Gabs. I've been away and am madly trying to catch up...lol. I'm nearly ok and hope you are too. And darling Gissi of course.

i think its not only the weather. its hard sometimes to post here, because it loads slow or it doesnt even load properly. then there are lots of the same discussions, a biut boring, and sometimes some of us dont know what to reply. when some talk about something the others dont know, they might go to the next one or decide to pop in later. for me it was that case plus i had some other issues.

It really seems like you care and I love that. I should appreciate that magnanimity of yours. I love this once again and pray you should keep it up. But my dear, do you understand that it is not everybody who is happy as at the time you think that they are happy? Your thoughts about someone's happiness maybe another person's unhappiness - this is to say that there are some people who don't acutally want others to be happy at all and if these same people see you wishing people to be happy, the get mad at you and also wish it were possible they brought you down or even drag you away from others so they alone, could have you be with them. While this is going on, there are some who are not happy naturally because they have some kind of problems in their life, marriage, school, relationship with friends, business and work and so on. Just as I am, not happy with the situation I find myself - my level of education has dropped drastically not because I don't want to go to school or I don't have the brain, but because I am able financially to go to school and study like othesr do. And it sometimes seems like am nervours and try to tell lies when people ask me about school. I tell them am a graduate while am not. But I wish to be. But how long will I continue to wish? The truth is that I can't do anything to change that state except God uses someone to help and assist me - someone like you which I belive would want to assist me. I thank God for your kindness once again and wish that you extended it to me too. No it's not you, I agree, it has been really really quiet in here, especially this last week, I wonder if it's because of the weather, no one wants to be in on the computer when the sun is shining as it has been here in the UK! I'm certainly not get half as many notifications of discussions from my friends. Gonna have to be sending out some pms soon to check my friends are ok ;0)

It is a lot more calm here than it used to be. Some of the older members seem to have left for good or maybe they are just popping in briefly? I have no idea what it´s going to be like in the summer, mylot deserted?

shush don't say that. I am just catching up on emails here, there are so many of them. Today I felt good, I am all caught up.

It has been fairly quiet, but it is Bank Holiday weekend in England, so I suppose some of our countrymen and women have gone away for the weekend. I don't know. I'm present and well! lol Take care, my dear friend. x

Hi Gabs! I was away completely for awhile and when I came back a couple of weeks ago, I thought it was very quiet and a lot of people were not around. For me this is a very busy time of year. I sell books and antiques and collectibles and there are a lot of auctions and things in the Spring so I don't get to do Mylot as much as I'd like. I'm thinking that a lot of other folks are busy this time of year also and that's why it's so quiet. At least I hope that's what it is. I'd hate to think they got disenchanted with Mylot and won't be back. I guess time will tell.

Hi Angel, You know that I've been having a rough time with shingles so had the last 2 days I've been resting and not on my computer very much.And then came back to a bit of a disappointment that I don't think I should mention here that you are aware of. I have been on and off for numerous reasons. I will be away tomorrow to visit my son. Sunday I hope to be sunning myself in my garden. Next week is the last week I have off before going back to work. I intend to enjoy each day by doing something special everyday. Kind of like a vacation, even though I have been out of work since September! Huggers to you Gabs.

As of late there have been so many deletions of discussions and flagrant violations of the guidelines that I find myself now avoiding a vast amount of discussions in fear of losing points/earnings if I respond. This seems to be the main reason of the slow down here as of late. I don't think it's any one particular peson LOL. In my eyes it isn't anyhow. I respond to ones that peak my interest. I think a lot of members fear the same loss of points/earnings as of late. It's getting ridiculous but then again it's also weeding out some of the bad members that flagrantly abuse this site. I think in a nutshell we are all getting fed up with having so many posts deleted .. good discussions that certainly aren't against the rules .. replies .. comments you name it they just seem to get dumped these days ..

It has been slow the last week or so. I guess with all the trouble here, and the weather getting warmer up there, people are getting a life again.

No, I don't think it is just you alone. For the past 2 days, I have been finding it quiet at myLot too until I have no email notifications backlog and I did not find much at the discussion pool either. Seems that everybody is taking a break. It could be the holidays. And I guess it is picking up again once the holidays are over.
