I love love love to talk about hair. I have always at least for the past 8-10 years had really long hair. My hair now is waist length. So, I have tried a LOT of weird things on my hair and have read a lot about it :)
What I have learned.. ALWAYS run your fingers through your hair before brushing or combing to get their tangles out with your hands first.
Air dry your hair when you can... the heat of a dryer just damages it..
We damage our hair a LOT chemicals (hair colors etc.) hair dryers and straighteners, wrong brush and comb.. neglect..
Never brush Wet hair... use a wide tooth comb after you shampoo and save the brush for later... 100+ strokes a day is good for brigning out the shine...
if you use the damaging things like flat iron, hair dryer, iron etc. use a shampoo and conditioner that protect your hair...
healthy diet.. be sure to eat healthy fruits, veggies and take a multi vitamin. .. tuna is great for hair.

wow waist length! that's long! that's my target but it seems like it's so hard to achieve haha. how often do you cut your hair? or you don't cut it? how long have you been keeping your hair until it's up to the waist?

hey there.... Its really hard. I end up truly getting frustrated with it more often than not. Its a lot of work having hair as long as I do. I put it in a clip and a bun a LOT. If I keep it down, it gets in the way of working. But, I do keep it down a lot. Also, by putting it up so much I am making my hair fall out in the top.
I get it cut very little. I cut it myself on occassion. But about ever 6 months I got get it shaped up... And then in between I will occassionally do it a little myself. It is probably a wise idea to get it cut more it would probably grow faster. I think they say you should get your hair cut every 6-8 weeks.
Take care and thanks for the response

Your hair is beautiful. I love to brush and play with long hair. I love having mine done too. Mine was long till a couple of months ago whenIhad it cut really short. Mine's naturally curly and extremely thick so it's a lot to handle in summer. I'll be growing it again of course as I prefer it long. It will take me about 3 years to get it back to where it was.
Thanks for all those great tips.

I love my hair. I usually wear my hair in a pony tail when the weather is warm, so my hair is tidy and not hanging in my face. when i was young i have ever had long hair, when i entered the middle school,in order to save the time i cut my hair short to my shoulder, and then after that my hair never long to my shoulder. sometimes i really envy others who have long hair,i really don't know how to deal with long hair, so i would rather keep short hair.

Thanks for posting some tips on long hair. Because I'm a guy, I don't know much about hair maintenance. And it isn't cool for us guys to have water cooler talk about hair. Just imagine me watching the Super Bowl and asking one of my buddies during a Budweiser commercial, "hey joe, what kind of conditioner do you use? What type of comb do you use to maintain that shine?" LOL ha ha ha! I wouldn't hear the end of it!!! I'm in the process of growing my hair (must be middle age crisis). I used to have long hair in the early 90's and I really liked it and just didn't know how to maintain it....so I cut it.
Well, the next time you see my profile, I'll update my photo and you can see my long hair (give me a couple more weeks). Tell me what you think. Again, thanks for posting some tips.
