how do you get to work? do you drive your own car? or do you ride though public vehicles?
i dont have my own car, so if my schedule falls on night shift, like late hours around 11pm till 4am dawn, i ride a cab in going to work, but when im on night shift, i ride public utility jeep so that i can save..
what about you? whats your ride in going to work? or do walk if youre living nearby?

I don't leave too far from work, about 6Km so when the weather is good I take my bike.
Not only I don't have to spend money but it feels good to bike first thing in the morning.
If the weather is not good then I take the bus and then a streetcar. If it's not that cold I tend to walk a few blocks instead of taking the streetcar.

i agree! if its really not dangerous to take a bike here in the city, considering the traffic and the danger getting hit by another car, ill be the first one to get a bike for means of transportaion...unfortunately, its not risk free...

Right now I am still driving to and from work but if the gas prices continue to increase I may start taking the bus for a while til the prices go down. More and more people are taking the bus so it could get crowded this summer on the bus. I prefer driving as I feel safer but it will be costly this summer it appears. It would be nice if I had a job that was in walking distance. It would be better for our health and our pockets.

Unfortunately I have to drive, no public transportation in farm country, LOL. But thank goodness my work is only about 2.5 miles away, so it saves a bunch on gas. It's close but still too far to walk or ride a bike without getting hit by a car or a semi!

my office is only 2 miles from my residence so i prefer to use my conveyance to around instead of using the office transport.saves me a lot of time..have my own bike and that gives me a lot of flexibility as far as my office hours are concerned..

I used to commute or ride in a PUJ when going to work. But fortunately I have saved some earnings which I have used to buy a second hand car. Now I ride everyday with my car in going to work. Riding in your own car have advantages as well as disadvantages. Now I have the luxury of time (I can now have the time when to leave home and work) and nothing to worry or hurry about leaving work particularly during shifting schedule (2-10pm). It also decreases the incident of coming late in work (just have to avoid traffic which is now in everywhere). Disadvantage, my expenses have grown a little higher because of gasoline consumption (every week the price of fuel increases).
