Do you notice whether your star numbers go up or down?

I don't mean the big 1-10 numbers, I mean the ones inside your star like 87/100. I have been noticing lately that my star is going from 95/100 to 96/100 and then back down to 95/100. Now its back to 96/100. Its weird because I am not doing anything differently. Have you notice this too??

I notice this too. Its weird how it jumps around like that
I was a 10 forever and then I went down to a 9 and now I am barely back at a 10. its odd cause I was like 100/100 for quite awhile there.
I am one of "those" people who notice my star rating even though I know it doesn't really mean anything.

Hello, mssnow,I think everyone in mylot will have this experience, may be someone have marked you negative and caused your rating to drop, then people marked you positive, rating rised again. Or may be it is also a glitch.I have my rating reached 98 when i joined mylot at the first few weeks, but it lasted for one day and dropped to 93,after two months,it went back to 96,but i have a feeling it will drop again.

As you said last time, I am biased but you'll always be 100/100. Although having said that is it possible on Mylot to be totally PERFECT? Hmm, maybe not, I don't check to be honest. I always thought if someone gave you a (-) you went down a point and vice versa for (+) if you get enough (-) you go down a star. But with the earning system on Mylot as about as easy to configure as Einstein's theory I pass on that one. Not very observant am I xx

For me it is pretty much the same.
The ranking depends on how others rate you on your discussions.

I remember mine doing that for a little while at those numbers too. I'm not sure why it would be more noticeable around 95/100 and 96/100. After the fluctuations mine has been holding steady at 98/100. At least I think it's still there, I don't think I've checked today. I'm not sure how often yours has been changing (once a day, several times a day) but maybe you just have a lot of people rating you lately and the ratings have been mixed, some negative, some positive.

Yes, I do check mine and it changes quite a lot. I think this is normal because we will all be getting positive and negative ratings each day so this will have some effect on the rating even if it isn't enough to change the 'big' rating in the star.

I don't take a lot of notice of mine, because I went up to ten once, and a little while later back to nine. I tried placing my mouse over the star, my name, etc, to no avail. I just don't seem able to see what my percentage rating is! lol. Maybe it's a blonde moment, but it's not worth worrying about. I just do my best to help people and to attract them to my discussions.
Brightest Blessings my friend.

I don't check it all the time. Maybe once a month. Sometimes it fluctuates but it's mostly because of the people that rate you. Since some people don't agree with your opinions they will rate you negatively. That's the reason it changes so much.

Yes, dear I've noticed this. As you know the last week or so I haven't been real active on myLot and I noticed my rating drop. I thought ratings came from the actual rating by other members. Now I know in my heart that the few discussions I responded to were friends who would not have given me a bad rating but the less active I was the more my rating dropped - from 99 down to 96. Then 2 days I got a little more active again and it went up to 98... I don't get it - just confussing this old lady even more than I am so trying not to pay attention to it.

I only see colors. I am "alerted" only if I see red. It is only then I will hover my cursor over the star to check the rating. I will be very active and continue responding to discussions just make sure that it hits 96 and above. Then once a while, I will just check on it. I dont even like the botherline 95 which means anytime, I may see red again :P

I used to be having star number 9 (94/100). Today my star number increased to 10 (95/100). It doens't really boast my happiness knowing that mylot discussion owner or reader's rating could easily bring me down again.
I just continue doing my best in responding, giving my opinion, not really care too much with the rating.

Hi MsSnow, Yes, I have noticed that my number has been changing a fair bit too. Maybe because people are rating you either + or - and then it either raises or drops a little bit? I'm not sure! Good question and good post!
