Moser Baer Home Videos have come out with a unique concept of selling movies at highly affordable rates in India.
A VCD is available for Rs. 28/- while a DVD is available for Rs. 34/-.
As on starting this discussion, I have found that there are 266 Hindi, 122 Kannada, 147 Malayalam, 58 Marathi, 10 Sanskrit, 199 Tamil and 70 Telugu titles.
They charge Rs.50/- for delivery if less than 20 titles are ordered otherwise delivery is free anywhere in India.
The movies that I ordered were delivered withing 3 days! The prints were excellent and it is a boon for movie lovers in India.
Currently the collection is limited but I sincerely hope that increases soon.
I would also love to watch French, Russian, Japanese movies (with subtitles or dubbed) at these rates. Besides getting to view foreign movies (other than Hollywood) is not a option available to Indian cine lovers. I hope they seriously consider this option.
Please note that I am not trying to market the company or its product but would like to share the information as I found that a lot of persons where not aware of this.

Speaking of movies, I just recently watched Krrish, and I thought it was absolutely fabulous. There are very nice artistic details and -hands down- nobody I've seen dances as good as Hritik Roshan! :) This was the first time I've watched an Indian movie..wait, no it wasn't. Anyway. The western world is quick to judge; so when they see elements of Matrix they tend to shun it down. What they do not see, is the movie has digested these things, and makes creative use of them.
I know this isn't directly related to your post, but I wanted to write it, because of my love for your country, and Krrish is 'the' movie for me. It's one of the few Indian movies I know of.
