I recently showed that I made a payment of $500 on my car payment when the monthly payment is only $173. I called the company and found out there was a $300 something payment made besides my payment. I had them look into getting a check number to make sure I didn't accidentally send them money that goes to one of my other bills. Even though that amount did not match anything in my check book. When my husband got home I told him about the error. He thinks I should have kept my mouth shut and kept the money. I called them back yesterday to get the check number and it is a four digit number when mine are only three. My husband was sitting next to me and heard the whole conversation. So I had the woman read the name on the copy of the check on her computer screen- Bradley something. No Bradley in my house so then she saw the account number didn't match. She had to talk to her manager to see what to do. It was a little hard to convince her to fix the mistake! And my husband still thinks I should have left it alone and took the credit. What would you have done?
