What do you think should happen to people who drive drunk?

Of course they should be punished and most are. I think that if we were raised with better morals and taught that drinking and driving is not only wrong but it also kills. Maybe it wouldnt be such a big issue if parents helped to drill it in your head

I think their driving licence should be cancelled and they should be fined for a very hefty amount.They should be madeto realise that they are doing a crime and they should pay for it.

yes!. me too!. i think that they ought to be punished because they may cause harm to people around them.. see i heard from the news yesterday that a drunk driver had killed 4 innocent bystanders.. his car just swirved here and there and literally crashed into those bystanders.. i think that people who are drunk better stay where they are and wait until they can really control their faculties so as not to endanger the lives of innocent people.. it is unfair for people to suffer for the recklesness and imprudence of some other people.. drunk drivers should be punished severely.

i thnk dey should definitely get sm bad punishment so dey can neva dare 2 drink n drive..... sm strict action should b takn against dem bcoz so many innocent ppl r kild bcoz of their fault...

I have family that have been killed by drunk drivers and I also have family that do drink and drive and I think that the crap is wrong. My husband and I have a rule that if you even have a sip you are not allowed to drive. I think that they should be punished more than just a "ticket".

I had this discussion before and the idea we came up with was (IN CANADA) to take their health care away. Becasue of many things 1 in canada we take for granted the fact that our health care system is amazing. also taking away someones license or insurance will not stop them from driving. But their health coverage would mean that they would have to pay their medical bills and those of anyone that got hurt. Also and obviously jail time is number one!!

I think they should be punished too. So many innocent people are hurt or killed everyday from drunk drivers. An accident is an accident. Driving drunk is not an accident.

They should be punished by making them visit accident victims in hospital during non-visiting hours under police escort to see how the patients are suffering and also to witness grieving relatives at the mortuaries and cemeteries.

Well, today the law really strick with people with DUI. I agree to do hard core on them, lot's of people die on the road... very sad...+
