Since retiring I have more time to enjoy hobbies now and have a few that are keeping me busy. I am reading novels, which I am purchasing through e-bay. Now that the colder weather has arrived I am knitting squares to make yet another blanket to give to our local animal welfare society as I do every year, mainly at night I do this in front of the fire while watching the "idiot box" lol I have begun putting together my own greeting cards for birthdays etc. but need to get a bit more creative with that one! I enjoy the computor and also crosswords. And when the weather is nice I take care of my rose garden that has finally been the best this year as I have more time to give it attention.

Now that I am home too, I get to do more of what I like to do too. I purchase my books at amazon.com, the weather is finally getting warmer here and I can't wait to be able to go outside and take walks. I am interested in my greeting cards, I would love to learn how. I don't look at the "idiot box" lol myself maybe an hour out of the day. Well I am not very good with flowers I like roses but I definitely don't have a green thumb.

Have you tried joining the online book swaps such as paperbackswap and bookmooch? you can join and put in books you want to give away, and make requests of books you are interested in; It has been a great help to me since. I included the links.

I love to read too; I also enjoy collecting figurines, postcards,some needlepoint, scrapbooking,cooking and baking,jigsaw and wordsearch puzzles. I also collect magnets from other places as well as nice inspirational ones. I collect mugs too.

I like figurines but until my house is children free I will not be collecting any of those. I recently bought a needlepoint but I am clueless on how to do it, I even bought a book on how to do them. I love cooking I don't bake and I like all kinds of puzzles especially jigsaw and crytograms.

I kind of started when my kids were young, but I feel you too; I didn't keep a lot around when they were little either; I moreso kept it away in a safe place. Now, they don't pay it no attention unless they like it. Peace.

Now I didn't even think of that but surfing online and mylot are like a hobbie. I love astrology and reading I have a few astrology books in my collection too.

i guess my only hobby is reading. i use to make blankets but i have not done that in years. i wanted to make my daughter one but didn't get around to it. i use to love to walk around and take pictures but again, i have not done that in years. damn i think i need to get my face out of a book and get out more. lol

No you don't have to take your face out of a book all you have to do is manage your time differently. You give yourself time slots for reading, your children, chores, work, fun and you balance with your hubby. You will find that you get a lot more done then focusing on one thing.

I love reading and I do collect books as well. I also love to paint and work with acrylics and water colors. I also crochet from time to time and have made some nice afghans. I also like to exercise, but my favorite is just walking and I like to take long walks around my neighborhood.

I can only wish I could paint, but I do enjoy reading I knitted blankets when my children were babies, I like walking but I don't get to do that much.

I like pool haven't played it in years though, reading is my favorite pass time, can't garden at all, I do enjoy bowling too

I use to do hair but not as a hobbie, I also write poetry and I love to go to plays I haven't lately though. I like working out go stress reliever.
